Looking For Fireworks? Four Rockland Options For Pop & Patriotism

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y.-- Where will you be celebrating the Fourth this year? As usual, there are a host of parades and fireworks across the county. Check your town's community or Facebook page for updates as weather can alter plans.

Thursday, June 29

  • Clarkstown: Family-friendly fun is on the menu at Nanuet High School where, starting at 6 p.m., you'll find inflatable bouncers, and Rockland County Radio Control Club flying demonstrations starting at 7:15 p.m. There will also be a concert featuring the Beatles tribute band Ob-la-Di, Bla-Da at 8 p.m. with fireworks at 9 p.m. Rain date is June 30.  Visit www.clarkstown.org for more details.

Sunday, July 2

  • Haverstraw: This annual event, held along the Hudson River, starts at 7 p.m. with music from the 747 Orchestra. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Rain date is July 3. Head to Bowline Point Park.

Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4

  • Boulders Stadium, Pomona: Nothing's more patriotic than a baseball game; so watch the Boulders at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd., followed by live music by Ramsey Wind Orchestra and fireworks. Then on July 4 enjoy more fireworks. The action takes place at Palisades Credit Union Park. Call 845-364-0009 or go to www.rocklandboulders.com for more information.

  • Nyack: Memorial Park is the site of the annual Independence Day fireworks display starting at 9 p.m.
